Crime Nearby: Teens Arrested in Sea Cliff Robbery

Sea Cliff
Two teens were arrested and accused of trying to rob youngsters who were skateboarding in Sea Cliff Friday night.
Nassau County Sixth Squad detectives said that Benjamin Molina, 16, of Woodbury and Helder Molina, 18, of Glen Cove demanded money and property from two 13-year-olds who were skateboarding on Sea Cliff Avenue. When one refused, police said, Benajamin Molina punched him in the eye. Both of the suspects then fled, empty-handed, in a 1995 Toyota.
Police said Helder Molina surrendered to police at 10:06 p.m. and Benjamin Molina was arrested at his home at 10:30 p.m. Both defendants are charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree assault and were arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Bellmore
A 47-year-old man was robbed Monday night while he was making a delivery for a local Chinese restaurant, police said.
The victim received a minor injury to his finger, police said.
Police said the man was making his delivery around 8:45 p.m. when he was approached by the robber who pulled a brown handgun and demanded money. He then reached into the victim's pocket and removed an undetermined amount of money, police said.
The robber fled on foot, authorities said.
West Hempstead
Nassau County Police's Vice Squad conducted an investigation of Acupuncture Oriental Body Work located on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead. It led to the arrests of Shuli Sun, of Hicksville, and Meiqin Shen, of Flushing, on Jan. 25, and four summonses were issued by the Town of Hempstead Building Department.
Plainview
Nassau County Police reported three new burglaries in the Second Precinct,including one in Jericho and another in Plainview.
Authorities also said two cars were reported stolen, including one from the lot at the Plainview Hospital.

A Plainview man faces robbery charges after police say he attempted to steal a woman's wallet at Nassau Community College, Nassau Police said.
Detectives from the Third Squad said the incident took place Wednesday afternoon when Evan H. Artz, 25, of 26 Cornell Drive, Plainview, approached a female student, 22, from behind. He reached into her pocketbook and removed her wallet, police said.
The victim realized what was happening and screamed, alerting other students. A struggle ensued with Artz. The defendant attempted to flee with the wallet but was tackled by a witness, Nassau detectives said.
Artz managed to get free and run from the scene but left the wallet behind, which was returned to the victim. No injuries have been reported at this time, police said.
On Thursday, Artz was located and charged with robbery.
Farmingdale
- Ray Tepolt, of North Amityville, was arrested in East Farmingdale on Jan. 29 and charged with harassment in the second degree.
- Jason Martin, of Jamaica, was arrested in Farmingdale on Jan. 28 and charged with unlawfully using a vehicle.
- Damien Armella, of Massapequa, was arrested in East Farmingdale on Jan. 26 and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree.
Huntington Station
A Huntington Station man died after being shot in the head at a local deli Saturday.
Michael Fredericks, 26, died at Huntington Hospital after the shooting at the Los Campos Deli, located at 161 Depot Rd. in Huntington Station at about 10:18 p.m., according to police.
Before police arrived at the scene, the victim was transported to the hosptital were he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, according to police ---

Two men attempted to hold up a check cashing store Sunday in Huntington Station.
An attempted armed robbery occurred Sunday at the RIA check cashing store in Huntington Station.
Police say the two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the RIA store at 1357 New York Ave. and demanded cash. The teller, behind bullet proof glass, did not comply and the two men fled south on New York Avenue, according to police.
They are described as Hispanic, between five to five feet three inches tall, slim to medium builds, both in their 20's, according to police.
