Massapequa Park Resident to Appear on Dr. Oz Show Tuesday
Shari Stack will be featured on nationally syndicated television show for segment on stroke awareness.
A Massapequa Park resident will be appearing on a nationally syndicated television show late Tuesday afternoon to talk about her experience surviving two strokes at a young age.
Shari Stack, 31, will be shown on The Dr. Oz Show at 4 p.m. on WNYW-TV/Fox 5 for a segment on stoke awareness. Stack, a 2002 graduate of nearby Hofstra University who is a North Merrick native and works as a librarian at Mepham High School in North Bellmore, suffered two strokes when she was 29 and 30.

Her story of survival was chronicled by North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center last year with an article posted on the hospital's website.
"The Dr. Oz Show" debuted in 2009 and is distributed in 112 countries worldwide.
Dr. Mehmet Oz is vice-chair of the Department of Surgery and Professor of Surgery at Columbia University. He also directs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary Medicine Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
