Police Blotter: Arrest in String of Car Break-ins

The following arrest information was supplied by the 7th precinct of the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

A Massapequa teen was arrested for a string of car break-ins on April 15, police said. Kacie Tendler, 17, was accused of taking GPS systems out of three cars on West End Avenue. She was charged with three counts of criminal possession of stolen property.

On April 12, a home was broken into on Toronto Avenue in Massapequa, police said. The thief broke in through a rear window and took $180, two laptops and some jewelry.

On April 14 , a thief broke through the side door of an unoccupied home on Stone Boulevard in Massapequa and stole copper piping, police said. 

On April 14, a car was reported stolen from the driveway of a home on Park Lane in Massapequa Park. The blue 2010 Volvo was taken sometime during the overnight hours.

On  Apr. 13, Robert M Spatz, 57 of North Babylon, was arrested on Roosevelt Place near Division Avenue, Massapequa and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and 2 violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On April 15, James Lascalia Jr, age 56 of 4th Street, West Babylon was arrested on Merrick Road, Massapequa and charged with 3 counts of Criminal Trespass 2nd, Resisting Arrest, 3 violations for No Building Permit.

On  April 15, a Patchogue woman was arrested at Macy’s at the Sunrise Mall  and charged with Petit Larceny.

On  April 15,  a Wyandanch  woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the  Sunrise Mall  and charged with Petit Larceny.
