The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's Seventh and Eighth Precinct incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.
The owners of the Waldbaums on Sunrise Highway would probably have reached for an antacid if they hadn't already been stolen. On September 13, the assistant manager of the store saw two men carrying a white laundry basket containing $850 worth of over the counter antacid and laxatives. The thieves entered a 2003 blue Toyota, which police said was stolen in East Meadow. As the suspects fled, they struck the assistant manager with their vehicle, causing a minor injury to her left knee.
On September 13, two men were questioned at the intersection of Division Avenue and North Jomar Place for allegedly selling cleaning products door to door. The men were unable to produce ID but stated they worked for Green Street Solutions of Idaho. They contacted their supervisor Jason Slade, 39, of Fort Worth, Texas, who came to the scene in a Chevy Van. It was determined Slade was driving with a suspended license and he was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, police said. Slade's vehicle was impounded.
On September 7, Owen Martin, 22, of Massapequa Park was arrested on Oakley Avenue & Clocks Blvd and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 3rd and five violations of the vehicle and Traffic Law.
On September 7, a West Babylon woman was arrested at JC Penney at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.
On September 7, Amy Wallace, 49, of Massapequa Park was arrested on Block Blvd, Massapequa Park and charged with Resisting Arrest and Criminal Trespass 4th.
On September 7, Nicholas Dellasperanza, 18, of Massapequa was arrested at Park Lane and Michigan Ave, Massapequa Park and charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon 4th and two violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
On September 9, three Brentwood men were arrested at Sears at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.
On September 9, Kurt Williams, 43, of Amityville was arrested on Broadway, Massapequa and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd, and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
On September 9, Yuan Feng Bensen, 45, of Seaford was arrested on Sunrise Highway and was charged with Unauthorized Practice a Crime and Prostitution.
On September 10, Jena A. Marone-Perullo, 25, of East Meadow was arrested at Sears, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Grand Larceny 4th.
On September 10, Harold Cox, 53, of Amityville was arrested at Massapequa Railroad, Massapequa Park and charged with five counts of Trespass.
On September 11, Christopher Cherestal, 19, of Massapequa was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and four violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
On September 11, an Amityville woman was arrested at Macy's at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.
