Police Blotter: Underwear Theft

June 28 to July 3

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Grand Larceny Report

On June 28, Victoria's Secret at the Sunrise Mall reported that 150 pairs of women's underwear were discovered missing at about 9 p.m. police said.

Assault

On July 1, an assault took place outside Woody's Village Saloon at 1015 Park Boulevard in Massapequa Park, police said. A man pushed the victim into the street and took his walking stick at about 4 a.m. He used the stick to beat the man in the face and head. He also kicked and punched the victim, police said.

Burglary Arrest

On June 28, Edward Wallace, 19, of Massapequa was arrested on Springdale Avenue and charged with Burglary 2nd, Burglary 1st, Grand Larceny 3rd, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th.

DWI Arrest

On July 1, Lisa Chiarizzi, 45, of Lindenhurst was arrested on Merrick Road near Roosevelt Boulevard, Massapequa and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and two violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Vehicle Arrest

On July 3, Sean M McDonagh, 27, of Massapequa was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed 2nd and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Petty Larceny Arrests

On June 28, an Amityville woman was was arrested at JC Penny, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 28, a  Freeport man was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 29, a North Babylon man and a Lindenhurst man were arrested at Pathmark, 941 Carmans Road, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 29, a Seaford woman was arrested at Macy’s at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 29, Handy A Hiciano-Diaz, 21, of Jackson Heights was arrested at Chase Bank, 4210 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa for trying to cash a forged check, police said. He was charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument and Petty Larceny.

 On June 30, a Ronkonkoma woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On July 1, a New Cassel woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On July 1, an Amityville woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On July 2, a Massapequa man was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.
