Orientation: Thursday is orientation day at the Ames Campus of Massapequa High School. Students with last names beginning with the letters A through L will attend an 8 a.m. orientation, while students with last names beginning with the letters M to Z meet at 1 p.m.
Phones: Due to maintenance, the phone system in the Massapequa School District will be inoperable beginning at approximately 4 p.m. The downtime is expected to last about an hour.
Movie: The Bar Harbour Library will host two showings of the film, "The Impossible" starring Naomi Watts THursday. They will be at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Strength Training: This course meets at Bar Harbour at 9:15 a.m.
Meeting Cancelled: The Town of Oyster Bay's Planning Advisory Board Meeting scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled.
