Rosh Hahshanah: The Jewish New Year 5774 arrived on Wednesday night. Services will continue in the area Thursday. The High Holy Day will also cause closings in the area.
Schools: Although classes will not start until Monday, Massapequa Public Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Library: Both branches of the Massapequa Public Library will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
Government: Most government offices will be open and there will be regular postal service on Thursday.
Sanitation/S.O.R.T.: There will be regular sanitation and recycling on Wednesday.
