TEAM COMBAT Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competed at the inaugural "Hudson Judo Cup" this past Sunday in Wayne, New Jersey. Leading the long list of medal winners was Team Combat's co-owner Mark Staniszewski who went 3-0 on the day the capture a gold medal in the heavyweight black belt division. James Delise earned a hard fought silver in the black belt middle weight division; Kevin Cassidy earned a silver in the brown belt division; Joe Tamburello and Dave Leon earned a bronze in their respective divisions; Vincent Morea, Bill Bloodnick and Eric Hottinger finished just outside the medal count in fourth place. A "shout out" to Ryan Mullahey who suffered a shoulder injury during his semi-final match forcing him out of the competition. And a special thanks to Mike and Cesar for coming down to coach and to all those who came to support us. All-in-all, a great day for the Team Combat Judo and BJJ.
