Angelina's Decision- Cancer Genetics/Environmental

Your genes do not determine your health... Your environment does. This new, yet controversial, scientific based news changes EVERYTHING that we have previously thought about our genetic makeup, our pre-programmed DNA and our destiny. Angelina Jolie is a woman who exudes motherhood, with her voluptuous body, and her children by her side. Her breasts, a sacred treasure, were designed to feed her children and to distinguish her as a woman. Unfortunately, this fatty tissue is particularly vulnerable to pre-cancerous deposits. Angelina is a woman of immense kindness and compassion to women and children world-wide. Her self-less choice to remove her breasts so that her children would never have to lose her to breast cancer, was incredibly brave. Jolie’s mutated BRCA1 gene made her “susceptible” to breast cancer, so she made a decision that we only hope we would not have to make... But where do we draw the line? Conversations recently have been sparked “How much are we willing to cut out / cut off?” In other words, if your father had brain cancer, would you remove your brain? If your mother had throat cancer, would you remove your throat? If your sister had lung cancer, would you remove your lungs? You get the point… So the question remains was it her genes that made her susceptible to breast cancer, or would it have been her environment that would ultimately dictate whether or not she could have fallen victim to cancer? http://balance4lifenutrition.com/angelina-jolie-cancer-are-we-geneticall...
