Bristal Employees Honored For Fundraising Efforts to Benefit those With Alzheimer’s and Dementia

Employees of The Bristal Assisted Living Communities who have dedicated their careers to  caring for and providing assistance to residents who suffer from Alzheimer’s and dementia have  been recognized for going the extra mile in their off duty hours for the support that they offer to  the larger Long Island community. The workers raised $10,000 to benefit the efforts of the Long Island Chapter  of the Alzheimer's Association  and the Alzheimer's Disease Resource Center.

The Alzheimer's Association recognized employees of the Bristal for their efforts to raise both funds and awareness for the fight against Alzheimer's Disease and dementia.  The Bristal team led by Reflections Coordinator Colleen Jones, raised over $ 5,000 which was donated to the Alzheimer's Association. Jones organized a car wash, a mini-walk and various other fundraising events. Maintenance Director Al Sposito and Dining Room Manager Robert Borgwald also received special plaques, they each raised over $1,200.00.
