DAYAN LILAH HADASSAH INSTALLS NEW CO-PRESIDENTS

Brynn Dacher of Merrick and Judi Steckler of Massapequa have been installed for two-year terms as Co-Presidents of the Merrick-Bellmore Dayan Lilah Young Leaders Group of Hadassah.

 

Mrs. Dacher has been a Hadassah member since 2001. She has held several positions on the Dayan Lilah Board including Raffle Committee member, Children’s Events Chair, Education Vice President and Programming Vice President. She has been named the Group’s Fundraiser of the Year and Woman of the Year, and received the Nassau Region’s Myrtle Wreath Award. She is part of a three-generation life member family.

A member of Congregation Ohav Sholom in Merrick, Mrs. Dacher lives in Merrick with her husband and three children. She works for the NYC Department of Education as a Speech/Language Pathologist in Jamaica, Queens. She earned her BA degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Douglass College, Rutgers University and her MS in Speech/Language Pathology from Brooklyn College.

Mrs. Steckler, a life member, joined Hadassah in 1995. Her husband is an Associate Member of Hadassah.  She has held various Hadassah positions including Executive Vice President, Fundraising Vice President, Bulletin Editor and Cards and Certificates Chair and has designed flyers and chaired many events. She has received the Woman of the Year and Great Communicator awards.

 

Previously a stockbroker, Mrs. Steckler works at Winthrop Hospital as a Manager of Patient Access.  She holds the board position of Members at Large on the Hospital Admitting Officers Association of New York and is on the Education and the Newsletter committees of the National Association of Healthcare Access Managers.  Mrs. Steckler lives in Massapequa with her husband and two sons. She currently attends college, studying for her Healthcare Administration Degree.

Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer organization that inspires a passion for and commitment to its partnership with the land and people of Israel. It enhances the health of people worldwide through its support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. Hadassah empowers its members and supporters, as well as youth in Israel and America through opportunities for personal growth, education, advocacy and Jewish continuity.
