Dr. Nikola Ragusa Joins OCLI's Massapequa Office

Nikola Ragusa, MD has joined the Massapequa office of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island (OCLI) as an associate. He is a board certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained glaucoma specialist. In addition to the Massapequa office, Dr. Ragusa will also be working in OCLI’s Valley Stream, Plainview and Rockville Centre offices.

Dr. Ragusa graduated from the renowned BS/MD program at The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and S.U.N.Y Health Center at Brooklyn with top honors Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Lastly, he went on to complete a clinical and surgical fellowship in glaucoma at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Ragusa has presented research and given talks nationally and internationally. His research interests include improving glaucoma medication adherence, pseudoexfoliation, and pigment dispersion syndromes. 

 

Dr. Ragusa is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the New York State Ophthalmological Society, and the New York Glaucoma Society. He speaks fluent Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, and is competent in Spanish.
