A Beautiful and Terrible Day in Massapequa

The anniversary of the 9/11 attacks at Town Sept. 11 Memorial.

It was a beautiful, clear day Wednesday just as it was twelve years ago.

The warm weather made it a picture perfect day at TOBAY beach, but the Town' of Oyster Bay's September 11 Memorial, which is also located at the beach served as a somber reminder of those we lost.

The flag in front of the memorial flew at half staff while many smaller flags and flowers were placed near the names of those connected to Oyster Bay who  died in the attacks.

Some came to TOBAY to see the memorial, while many  goers also quietly filed by, but all came to honor the victims and remember a terrible day.
