Basketball Alumni Raise Funds for Cancer

Annual alumni game brings in donations for Coaches vs. Cancer.

Some former Chiefs took to the court recently and proved they still have game, for a good cause.

Massapequa High School and basketball alumni raised $1,200 to fight cancer at their third annual alumni basketball game.

The money will go to the American Cancer Society.

The game was held to support the National Association of Basketball Coaches' Coaches vs. Cancer campaign.

 “All participants and attendees graciously donated to this outstanding cause,” Massapequa Basketball coach Martin Voigt said.

"The varsity boys basketball team, the boys booster club, and family and friends of the boys basketball program also took part in the fundraising.
