Flash Flooding, Severe Thunderstorms Expected Through Tuesday Night

Nassau County due for severe weather through 9 p.m.

Flash flooding and severe thunderstorms are expected to batter Nassau County Tuesday.

Weather officials released a flash flood warning that will remain in effect through 9 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

A severe thunderstorm watch is also in effect through 9 p.m. Tuesday and will bring "multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms" as a cold front edges through.

Two to three inches on average are expected throughout the region.
