Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Here is a family game night, a teen workshop.a BounceU event and a few special skating sessions.

Family Game Night at Westfield Sunrise Mall

Where: , 1 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa, NY

When:  April 1, 5 p.m.

Why Go:  Play games the first Friday of every month in the Food Court starting at 5pm at family game night.  They provide the games.  Come prepared for fun.  The food court is located on the upper level near Sears.

Teen Creative Writing and Book Discussion Workshop at the Library

Where: , 40 Harbor Ln, Massapequa Park, NY 11762

When: April 1, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Why Go:  Join Massapequa Park author and educator Jack Bilello as he discusses his first nonfiction book Heart of a Lion, co-authored with Robyn Supraner. Set during the Civil War, it's the stoery of Joshua Chamberlain of Maine, who joined the Union Army to protect his country against the evils of slavery. Jack will also critique any writings you wish to bring in.  Pick up the book and register in Adult Reference at either Library building. No fee! Refreshments served.

BounceU Farmingdale's 2nd Birthday Party

Where: , 101 Carolyn Blvd, Farmingdale, NY

When: April 1, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Why Go:  In addition to tons of bouncing fun, they will be having a pizza party with drinks and cake for all kids in attendance.  All party guests will receive a party favor.  There will also be a special character appearance.

Pricing: $16.95/child

Three Special Skating Sessions at United Skates of America

Where: , 1276 Hicksville Rd, Seaford, NY

When: April 1, 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Why Go:  Saturday Morning Fun Skate with Spongebob. Everyone's favorite cartoon sea creature will be United Skates' guest DJ every Saturday morning.Enjoy kid-friendly music and open skate time. 

Pricing: $9 children, $10 adult

When:  April 2, 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Why Go:  Nickelodeon Breakfast - Meet Dora, Diego, Spongbob, Patrick and Foofa and United Skates of America's Nickelodeon Breakfast.  Scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, cereal and bagels will be served.

Pricing:  $15 children, $20 adults

When:  April 3, 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Why Go:  Bieber Fever Skate - United Skates will host a Bieber Fever Skate Session from 12-2:30 p.m. Wear a Justin Biever shirt to receive $2 off admission. Enter the biggest fan contest to win giveaways.
