Hospital: Massapequa Girl is First LI Baby of 2014

It didn't take long for the population of Massapequa to grow in 2014.

A baby girl, whose mother is from Massapequa was the first child delivered on Long Island this year, according to officials at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip,

Jacqueline Rodriquez delivered her first daughter, Pamela, two weeks early at 12:22 am, weighing in at 8 lbs., 4.5 oz. She will join her three brothers; Steven, Angel and Brian at home. 

In honor of the baby girl’s arrival, the medical center presented the family with gift baskets donated by Babies R Us and Good Samaritan. The delivering physician was Aaron David, MD. 

Each year, approximately 3,000 babies are delivered at Good Samaritan.
