Holiday Weekend: Wednesday is get away day before the July 4th Holiday. Many people will be leaving work early for the start of what will be a four day weekend for most people. Expect an early Rush Hour.
Fireworks: The annual Massapequa Park fireworks display will dazzle the skies Wednesday night. It gets underway at 9 p.m. at Mansfield Park.
LIRR: The LIRR will add extra trains heading east Wednesday afternoon in anticipation of an early rush. On the Babylon Branch which serves Massapequa and Massapequa Park, there will be three extra trains. A 2:32 p.m. train from Penn Station running express to Lynbrook, then making all stops to Babylon; a 3 p.m. train stopping at Jamaica and Rockville Centre, then making all stops to Babylon and a 3:31 p.m. train running express to Rockville Centre, then making all stops to Babylon.
Sanitiation/S.O.R.T. There will be no sanitation or recycling pickup on Thursday.
Story Time: Children three and up can take part in this program at the Bar Harbour Library at 10:30 a.m.
