Last Chance: Kids of Distinction Nominations

Amazing kids have until Wednesday to be nominated to Town of Oyster Bay's Kids of Distinction scholarship program.

Six TOBAY residents -- three in grades 5-8 and three in grades 9-12 -- will be selected as winners of the contest and given $500 scholarships. The program has given out $30,000 in scholarship money to date.

The program is run through Kids Helping Kids by Kids Way, Inc.

Student involved in "voluntary community, charity or civic activities on their own individual initiative” are recognized in the program, according to Supervisor John Venditto.
