Massapequa's Summer Shores

As boating season starts in the area, how safe do you feel in our waters?

This weekend's fleet blessing in Oyster Bay is another sign that summer is coming and boat season is about to head into full swing.

It comes in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy causing tremendous damage to our shoreline. It also follows a season in which there was tragic July 4th boat accident on the North shore just a day after an incident where police said a drunk boater slammed into a Massapequa boat dock

In an effort to save lives, the town's Bay Constable Benevolent Association, donated $50,000 for the town to form an emergency response dive team and purchase  diving equipment.

We want to hear your thoughts on the safety of our waters. Do you feel safe? What improvements would you like to see?
