May 24: School in Session

School's Open: On Friday the Massapequa School District will once again make up for time lost due to Hurricane Sandy. In addition to canceling winter break the district also voted to makeMay 24 a school day instead of a scheuled snow emergency day.

LIRR: The Long Island rail road will be adding extra trains Friday in advance of the Memorial Day Holiday. There will be three extra trains headed east on the Babylon Branch which serves Massapequa and Massapequa Park. A 2:32 p.m. train which will run express to Lynbrook and then making all local stops; a 3 p.m. train stopping at Jamaica, Rockville Centre, and then making all stops to Babylon and a 3:31 p.m. train that runs express to Rockville Centre, and then makes all stops to Babylon.

Line Dancing: Kick up your heels at the Bar Harbour Library at this class which meets at 10: 30 a.m. Registration and a fee is required.

Let's Talk: The Senior discussion group meets at Bar Harbour for a 1 p.m. talk.

Board Game Cafe: Over at the Central Avenue Library you can play their board games or bring your own. THere will also be pizza. It starts at 4 p.m.
