Photo Gallery: Tidying Up After Irene

Days after the hurricane hit Massapequa, local residents are still picking up the pieces.

It's been several days since Hurricane Irene hit the Massapequas, and while most residents seem to be of the opinion that the storm's impact could have been worse, Irene still has presented a doozy of a clean-up problem for locals.

It seems that almost everywhere you go, the streets are littered with tree branches, leaves, and other assorted debris. The Village of Massapequa Park and the Town of Oyster Bay have been working diligently, and while things are almost back to normal, you'll still come across a reminder of Irene's presence here and there.

This week, Patch turns the camera lens on the clean-up of Massapequa after Hurricane Irene.
