One of the things that indicates the strength of a community is their public library.

A good library serves the research and educational needs of residents and students.
It's also a place where a community can find resources for a job search, tax forms and information on government programs.

We'd like to know how you'd rate the Massapequa Public Library. What do you think of their book selection? What about the services they provide? Do you like their children's library? What other thoughts do you have?

Both branches are excellent because of their extensive and up to date collections and due to the excellent service provided by the staff and library professionals. Reference librarians always helpful and appear to love a good reference question challenge. This is part of our taxes that seem to go to good use. I appreciate getting their email newsletters.

Many thanks to the helpful, friendly, and courteous staff of the Central Avenue Library, which I visit three or four times weekly. The day's newspapers are easily available on a table near chairs, so I can quickly glance at the stories in those which do not land on my driveway. The vast shelves include Core Collection books, which are maintained although they are not current best sellers. I observe that the reference staff and clerks treat all patrons attentively. --- The Bar Harbour staff likewise deserves commendation. In both branches, I especially enjoy the willingness to purchase new books in the 940's and 970's. The biography selection is also tops.

The Central Ave library needs updating quite badly!
