Six Months After Sandy

Monday marks the six month anniversary of the storm that did major damage to Massapequa. How far have we progressed?

Monday marks the six month anniversary of an unwelcome visitor. We are now half a year removed from Superstorm Sandy.

For some, the problems created by the storm ended when the lights came back on. But many were faced with numerous problems.

There were insurance companies to deal with, contractors to call and government agencies to deal with.

Local government has also been feeling the pain with both the Town of Oyster Bay and Village of Massapequa Park have cited  Sandy costs as putting a strain on the budget this year.

We want to know your thoughts on how the area has progressed over the past sixth months. What has gone right? What still needs to be done?
