DA: Former Wantagh Man Pleads Guilty to Scamming…

Neglected Canine Recovering at Sayville Animal Medical Facility

The Grady Animal Hospital is helping Queenie recover from weeks of starvation and treating her for kidney failure.

Queenie, a 10-year-old neglected and starved Canine Corso is on the mend at the Grady Animal Hospital in Sayville but the latest medical update is not promising as blood tests reveal Queenie is in kidney failure.

The abused dog, discovered in Coram by one of its owners this weekend following weeks of abuse allegedly by its other owner, was brought to the animal surgery and medical facility on Montauk Highway late Saturday night.

According to the Guardians of Rescue website, the animal care organization was called in to rescue Queenie who was found to be extremely dehydrated and near death from starvation after being locked in a bedroom for weeks.

As of Sunday Queenie’s prognosis was hopeful as she was resting comfortably on IV fluids and was up and about a bit, according to the hospital's Facebook page.

Monday night though blood work revealed the kidney failure and while Queenie is stable, her prognosis for a long life is not optimistic, though some animals can live with kidney failure longer than expected.

Once released from Grady, Queenie will go home to live with a Guardian of Rescue volunteer whose family will make “whatever time she has left extremely joyful and special," states a post on the hospital's Facebook page.

"We MUST remember, though, that behind every cloud is the potential for a big, beautiful rainbow, and we hope and pray that Queenie will have a rainbow behind her cloud, and not only survive, but far surpass the estimated amount of time that she has left."

I would like to know if the other owner is being brought up on charges of animal abuse? If not someone should start the action now! Why would the other owner let it get that far?

Leave the owner tied up to a post in the middle of town. Let the bastard stave to death

Why not run the story with the demonic piece of garbage's name like CBS did? The piece of human garbage's name according to CBS is MICHAEL FAULKNER ! There is a petition to the judge to punish this demonic pig to the max! This psychotic pig need some serious jail time!
