Warming Centers Set Up in Massapequa
Town cancels sanitation and recycling on Wednesday.
The heavy snowfall and cold temperatures expected over the next 24 hours has led Nassau County and Town of Oyster Bay officials have set up warming centers in the Massapequa area.
Nassau County officials announced there will be centers are at the following locations.
- Our Lady of Lourdes School at 379 Linden Street in Massapequa Park
- Massapequa Park Village Hall at 151 Front Street in Massapequa Park.
The Town also announced that there will be no Sanitation or recycling pickup on Wednesday morning. It will be picked up on your next scheduled collection day.
Residents are urged to keep roads clear of cars so crews can plow.
