The festivities begin at the 1:00 PM Mass at St. Martin of Tours Church. Immediately after Mass – 2:00 PM – 2012 Grand Marshal Eamon Fitzgerald, family, friends and visiting dignitaries will join the color guard, pipe bands and marching units in front of St. Martin’s.
Featured in this year’s parade are the Nassau Firefighters Pipes & Drums, the American Celtic Pipe Band, the Tara Band and the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes & Drums along with veterans’ groups, historic re-enactment groups, AOH members, fire departments, scouts and the perennial favorite – the K-9 Brigade.
The parade route begins on Central Avenue in Bethpage, down Stewart Avenue and returning on Broadway to the Showmobile where the Grand Marshal and elected officials will review the parade.
