It's been a big year for the film industry on Long Island. Last year the movie business generated more than $140 million in Nassau County according to Camoin Associates, a Saratoga Springs-based economic planning consultant company.

With productions such as the "Amazing Spider-Man 2" filming in the area, the future may be bright going forward.

There have been many movie stars from the area, including, Billy Crystal, Alec Baldwin, Natalie Portman and Eddie Murphy.
