Love them or hate them, you cannot deny their mesmerizing power. Surely LIPA can attest. These staples of suburban living are a December holiday tradition. And they do more than brighten up front lawns, stoops and rooftops. They inspire child-like wonder.

I would have to vote for the house in Lynbrook on Fenimore. I drove passed a couple of houses from this contest and they were pretty good but Fenimore took the cake! The music brought a great Christmas atmosphere and when i stopped by I even got greeted by the owner and his family who gave me and my kids candy canes. Great job Fenimore!!
