What kept the Long Island night blindingly bright in a face of a lunar eclipse? Your neighbor's holiday lights, of course.

Love them or hate them, you cannot deny their mesmerizing power. Surely LIPA can attest. These staples of suburban living are a December holiday tradition. And they do more than brighten up front lawns, stoops and rooftops. They inspire child-like wonder.

Love the house on Fenimore in Lynbrook. You can tell that the owners put alot of time & pride into their Beautiful display!

I drive my kids past house on Fenimore st in Lynbrook almost every night! They Love looking at the Beautiful ferris wheel & cute reindeer they have displayed by their back fence. Wonderful job guys,my vote goes to them!

There are still some awesome lights still up - shows real dedication for them to still be around!
