Independence Day is almost uopn us, and Massapequans are getting into the spirit of our most patriotic of holidays by proudly displaying their American flags on their homes, businesses, and town buildings.

This country's come a long way since declaring our independence from the Great Britain back in 1776, and to this day many Americans still get all misty-eyed when they think of those who have sacrificed everything to ensure we keep the freedoms we enjoy as citizens of the greatest nation on Earth.
