You can still get a regular gallon of gas for below $4 at most area stations in Massapequa but only one station has midgrade for below that price.
Our weekly check of area fuel prices turned up several places that have the best price for regular gas as of Sunday morning.
You can get it for $3.839 at the at 4164 Merrick Road, the at 520 Hicksville Road and the Hess at 6201 Sunrise Highway.
Thehas the best price for midgrade at $3.939 and diesel fuel $4.119.
For premium, the place to go is the Hicksville Road Getty. They're charging $4.139 a gallon.
The prices listed here are taken from Motor Trend's website, which bases its information on credit card transactions. Some stations offer cheaper prices for cash-only purchases.
