Readers' Choice Winner: Best Florist in Massapequa Is...

Residents of Massapequa have been tossing bouquets at all week.

The Sunrise Highway flower shop is an institution in the area, and they came out in the top spot in our Readers' Choice Poll this week..

Owner Mike Marrazzo said he was "jubilant" over receiving the recognition.

"We've been here for 50 years and we're happy our public adores us."

Marrazo said his store has been owned by the same family for 50 years and that his 84-year-old mother still has a hand in the business.

The owner said he had fun following the poll. 

"Even if we had lost, I would have enjoyed it," he said. "We've got some great people here."
