Smithtown's elected officials have proposed a change to the town code that would prohibit its employees from showing favoritism by hiring relatives.

in Sag Harbor has taken on the restoration of a 150-year-old Torah scroll. It will be used in services after its dedication on Friday night, Aug. 24.

Former Animal Shelter Director Gets $98,000 Hempstead Job

Pat Horan, the former director of the Town of Hempstead Animal shelter, has been appointed to a new position within the town.

According to the town, Horan's new title is engineering helper and her salary will be $97,959.
