Two Area Residents Win Lottery Prizes

Nearly $100,000 in prizes in drawings earlier this month.

Lady luck was shining on Massapequa earlier this month when two area residents won prizes in lottery drawings.

James Cox of Massapequa Park won nearly $89,000 in the March 10th Take five drawing. 

He bought the ticket at on Merrick Road.

Meanwhile Eugene Profeta of Massapequa won $10,000 for picking four of the five numbers and the Mega Ball correctly.

Profeta bought his ticket at in Seaford.

Although Profeta won a prize in the March 9, in the March 9 Mega Millions Drawing, nobody has won the full jackpot since Jan. 24.  

That jackpot has now grown to a record $500 million for Friday's drawing, according to their website.
