Almost Time For Turkey Edition

It's getaway day.  Many of us will work half days and either go home and get ready for that big dinner or hit the road. Wherever you go, we hope you have a great holiday. But before you head out, we'll take one last look at what's going on around the area that we think you ought to know about.  We need your help too. Here's what you need to know today:

• Extra Trains: The Long Island Rail Road will be adding extra trains Wednesday afternoon on the Babylon Branch which stops at Massapequa and Massapequa Park.  A 2:22 p.m. train will run express to Lynbrook, then all stops to Babylon; a 3:00 p.m.train stops at Jamaica and  Rockville Centre, then making  all stops to Babylon and a 3:31 p.m. train runs express to Rockville Centre, then  makes all stops to Babylon.
• Early Closings: The Massapequa Public Library will shut it's doors at 5 p.m.  The only program scheduled at the library  is Mah Jongg at noon at . There will be no adult education classes Wednesday evening at Massapequa Public Schools.
• Blue Parrot: If you're ready to party this holiday weekend, check out Randy Jackson at the . The acoustic guitar specialist who was a member of the band Zebra will play the rock club at 8 p.m.
• Pre Thanksgiving Party:  Country Band Roadhouse will be playing the lounge at . Showtime is at 9 p.m.
• Be Careful: It's the biggest travel day of the year and we want you to be patient, because we want you back. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Patch.
