Arrest in Home Burglary on Grand Street

Oakland Gardens man busted in early morning incident in Massapequa.

An Oakland Gardens man was arrested early Friday morning after police said he broke into a Massapequa home.

A woman came home to the house on Grand Street at 1:46 a.m. and discovered that somebody entered the home through a rear window that was forced open, cops said. 

She searched the house and found that a laptop computer, sneakers and a bottle of liquor had been taken. 

A witness  saw the getaway car, which led police to Luis Gaston, 36, whe was arrested at his apartment.

He was charged with Buglary 2nd.

From Newsday.com: Luis Gaston, 36, of 73-55 210th St., Oakland Gardens, Queens, was arrested little more than three hours after the burglary at the Grand Street home in Massapequa, Nassau County police said. Gaston was charged with second-degree burglary.
