RNC: Mitt Romney has been a businessman, CEO of the Salt Lake City Olympics and Governor of Massachussets. But Thursday night wil be the biggest moment in Roney's career. The two-time presidential candidate will accept the nomination of the Republican Party for President of the United States. Many observers feel his acceptance speech at the GOP convention will play a big role in deciding his future in what appears to be a tight race. The speech is expected sometime after 10 p.m.

School's Open: It may not be the traditional September opening, but Summer is over in the Massapequa School District. Doors will open at all Elementary Schools, Berner Middle School and both campuses of Massapequa High School. Kindergarten won't open until Friday.

Line Dancing: It's an end of Summer tradition at the . The annual outdoor country line dancing and western concert, is a chance for those who participate in the weekly line dancing classes to kick up their heels under the stars. It all gets underway at 7:30 p.m.

Strength Training: This class meets at Bar Harbour Thursday Morning at 9:30 a.m.
