New Year's Eve: Monday is New Year's Eve the final day of 2012 and the day before the New Year's holiday. Monday is not a federal or state holiday, but some offices will be closed early.
LIRR: The LIRR's Babylon Branch, which serves Massapequa and will add extra trains Monday for the afternoon rush. There will be a 2:32 p.m. train running express to Lynbrook, then making all stops to Babylon; a 3 p.m. train stopping at Jamaica, Rockville Centre, then making all stops to Babylon; and a 3:31 p.m. train running express to Rockville Centre, then making all stops to Babylon.
Town/Village: Both Town Hall in Oyster Bay and Village Hall in Massapequa Park will be open until 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
Sanitation: There will be normal sanitation pickup in the Town of Oyster Bay on Monday.
Library: Both branches of the Massapequa Public Library will be open Monday, but they will close early at 5 p.m.
