Happy Thursday everybody. You've made it this far and you have one more day to make it through the week. We're here to help. Once again, we're going to spotlight events and happenings in and around the area that we think you ought to know about. We need your help too. Here's what you need to know today:
- School Board Meeting: The Massapequa Board of Education meets in the Board room at 8 p.m. The Board is scheduled to hear reports about new course proposals and the district's online parent portal.
- Story Time: Children's Program for ages 3 to 5 at the beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Children's room.
- Mom's Night Out: Darlings and Divas of Amityville, a business that hosts children's parties and a boutique for girls ,will be hosting a mom's night out event at 5 p.m. Located at 65 Merrick Road in Amityville, the event will include free wine, cheese and chocolate.
- The Searchlights: If you like a little country mixed in with your rock, then check out The Searchlights at the . Showtime is at 8 p.m. and the club also promises you'll be able to see tonight's NFL game as well.
- Girls Varsity Basketball: The Chiefs scrimmage against Garden City. Tip off is 5 p.m. at the Massapequa High School gym.
