Hanukkah Services in the Area

Shabbat services at Temple Sinai and Temple B'nai Torah

As Hanukkah begins Tuesday night, Massapequa's Jewish community will begin the celebration of the Festival of Lights.

Two area temples will be holding special Hanukkah Shabbat services Friday.

At on Clocks Blvd, there will be a service at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Families and friends are encouraged to bring menorahs and five candles.

Students who made menorahs will be bringing them to the Lighting Service. 

At there will also be a Friday service at 6:30 p.m.  There will be a menorah lighting ceremony prior to the start of the service.

Those in attendance are also encouraged to bring a Menorah and five candles.

The temple nursery school will be holding a Hanakkuh party at 11 a.m. Friday and there will be a giftwrapping fundraiser for the temple Friday from noon to 6 p.m. at the
