July 6: Music and Mulan Edition

It's a summer Wednesday in Massapequa and we're whistling a happy tune.

At the end of the day, we'll already be halfway through the week and we have a fun agenda in Massapequa.

We have a musical theme along with a popular Disney movie to get us through the day.

Here's what you need to know today: 

• Jimmy and the Gooch: You have to love this name and if you like acoustic folk rock, these guys play it. They will be at at 5600 Merrick Road from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
• Music Under the Stars: The Town of Oyster Bay's Concert series moves to Farmingdale Wednesday with performances by Carl Carlton, C & C Music Factory and Expose, beginning at 8 p.m. at Ellsworth W. Allen Town Park on Motor Avenue.
• Mulan: The 1998 animated Disney movie staring Ming-Na, Miguel Ferrer and Eddie Murphy will be shown at the at 10 a.m.
• Chair Yoga: Over at the , you can get some exercise in with a chair yoga class at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is required.
• VFW: has their regular first Wednesday of the month meeting at 8 p.m. The Post is located 1012 Park Boulevard in Massapequa Park.
