Good Morning and congratulations to the class of 2011.

It's Monday and it's a very special day for seniors at Massapequa High School.

It's graduation day and that tops our five things for the beginning of the week along with some public meetings.

Here's what you need to know  today:

  • Graduation: The ceremonies will take place at Hofstra University at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition complex. Among those the graduates will here from will be their fellow classmates, valedictorian Alexa Savino and salutatorian Natalie Sabia. We wish the best of luck to all of them.
  • Village Board: The Massapequa Park Village Board meets twice a month on the second and fourth Mondays. The meeting will be held at at 151 Front Street at 8 p.m. Public comment is always welcome at the end of the meeting.
  • Fire District: Thewill also have a Board meeting tonight at 8 p.m.   It will be at district headquarters at 1 Brooklyn Avenue.
  • Senior Help: The Senior Citizen Help desk will be open at the from 10 a.m. to noon today. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions about HMOs, Medicaid and other  senior programs.
