March 9: Ash Wednesday Edition

A look at events and happenings around the Massapequas today.

We're halfway home Massapequa. It's Wednesday and we've reached the midway point in the week. It's also Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Christian holy season of Lent, which leads up to Easter Sunday.

It's one of the things we'll be looking at in this edition of Five Things You Need to Know Today.

Each day, we spotlight events and happenings in and around the area that we think  you ought to know about. We want your help too. If there's an event announcement you'd like us to highlight, please contact us.
