Passover Services in the Massapequa Area

The feast begins Monday at sundown.

Passover, or the Feast of Unleavened Bread, begins Monday. It commemorates the deliverance of the Israelites from Egyptian bondage. Throughout the world, the day will be marked by Seders and the eating of matzoh.

Here in Massapequa, there will be several services in and around the area. Here's a list of some of the services in the area.

  • At Congregation Beth-El in Massapequa  will hold an evening service at 6 p.m. Monday. On Tuesday there will be services at 10 a.. and 6 p.m. Wednesday services will be at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., while there will be Shabbat services at 8 p.m. Friday or Saturday at 9:30 a.m. On Monday there will be services at 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.  On Tuesday, the final day of the festival there will be services at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • At Temple Sinai in Massapequa, there will be a Erev Pesach Service at 7:30 p.m. and the regular Friday Shabbat Worship at 8 p.m. On Tuesday, on the eighth day of Pesach, there will be a 7:30 p.m. service.
  • Temple B'Nai Torah in Wantagh has a strong membership from Massapequa. They will conduct Tuesday morning services at 10:30 a.m. and Friday Shabbat services at 8 p.m. On Sunday, there will be a 7:30 p.m. seventh day Pesach service at 7:30 p.m. which will include a Yizkor Memorial Service.
