Richard Imbrogno achieves Boy Scout's Highes Honor

A Massapequa High School student has attained the highest rank you can receive in Boy Scouts.

Michael Imbrogno, a member of Troop 5 and a junior at the school was honored in a ceremony at the school's Ames campus earlier this month.

One of the requirements to become an Eagle Scout is to  plan and execute a community service project and Michael's was a resounding sucess as he was able to collect more than 1,700 pounds of food, diapers bibs and other items for the New Life Center in Uniondale.

He was presented with a citation at the ceremony by Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto and Councilman Anthony Macagnone.

CONGRATULATIONS! What a great honor. From a family in Cedarhurst with two Eagle Scouts out of Troop 20. We know the hard work that goes into doing an Eagle Project. This honor will take you great places in life! Again, our sincere congratulations! Chrissy, Jack, Matthew and Jimmy Redash
