Patch was out and about on Friday to see how the cleanup and recovery is doing in Massapequa.
One Harbor Green resident was happy to report her electricity was back. "We had hot water, but not having TV shows for the kids was very challenging," she said.
As late as Friday morning, generators were still heard throughout Massapequa south of Merrick Rd. And late Friday the unmistakable sounds of chainsaws and wood chippers filled the air. Cablevision and Verizon tricks were out in numbers and Patch only caught a glimpse of a fast moving LIPA van.
