Police Blotter: Stolen Car Recovered

June 6 to 13.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Stolen Car

On June 9, a car was reported stolen from in front of a home on Cleveland Avenue during the overnight hours, police said. The 1999 gray Honda Civic was later recovered by officers from the 5th Precinct.

Cars Vandalized

On June 7, a car was broken into on Merritt Avenue during the early morning hours. A dashboard GPS and entertainment system and other items were taken from the 2005 black Chevy Tahoe, police said.

On June 12, gas was stolen out of a the tank of a 1999 Dodge Caravan on Sand Street, police said.

On June 13, four tires and rims were taken from a 2008 gray Mercedes parked on North Poplar Street, police said.

Bike Theft

On June 12, a mountain bike was reported stolen from an unlocked shed on Violet Street in Massapequa Park, police said. The bike had last been seen on June 3, according to cops.

Grand Larceny

On June 12, a thief broke into a metal storage container on Merrick Road and swiped 864 feet of copper wire, police said. 

Burglary Arrest

On June 10, a Wyandanch woman was arrested at Wal-Mart, at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Burglary 3rd.

Petty Larceny Arrests  

On June 7, a, Massapequa woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On  June 7, a Hempstead man was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 7, a Lindenhurst woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.  

On June 8, an Amityville was arrested at Macy’s, at the Sunrise Mall  and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 9, a Lindenhurst  woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 10, a Freeport woman was arrested at JC Penny at the Sunrise Mall  and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 12, a West Babylon man was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.

On June 13, an Amityville woman  was arrested at Macy’s, at the  Sunrise Mall and charged with Petty Larceny.
