Primary: Area Republicans voted to nominate Assemb. Joseph Saladino Thursday night. Saladino defeated lawyer Rich Young after receiving 81 percent of the vote.

Ribbon Cutting:  a new Park Boulevard Bistro, gets a  Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. 

PTA: The PTA will hold an executive meeting Friday morning. It starts at 9:45 a.m.

Field Hockey: Massapequa hosts Friends Academy at 4:30 p.m. 

Girls Volleyball: Port Washington travels to Massapequa to face the Chiefs at 5 p.m.
