Funny, it doesn't feel like spring.
After a stormy night of crashing and flashing by a rare early spring thunder storm, Massapequans were greeted by a 1-2 inch slushy accumulation, puddles and wet slippery roads in what feels like winter's last grasp upon Long Island.
Even though Thursday should be the last day of the white stuff, the forecast for the rest of the week into the weekend looks unseasonably chilly and not at all spring-like with highs only in the 40's.

So bundle up your Little Leaguer's and dress your junior lacrosse players in layers because even in the summer, Burns Park can be chilly. Watch out for black ice as you make your way home this evening as overnight temperatures drop back into the 20's.
