Many Long Islanders lost cellphone service when Hurricane Sandy struck on Oct. 29, leaving people unable to summon emergency help or find needed information.
Cellphone towers were often overloaded or knocked out of commission just when they were needed most.
Does the cellphone problem mean we need more towers? Has anyone changed their opposition to having towers near their homes or places of business?
Or do we need to press companies to improve their ability to operate in a storm?
Please tell us in the comments.
